Some milestones are exciting because of what they represent.
So, to us, while earning a spot on the Inc. 5000 list is a story of growth, we feel it’s also a testament to what happens when you build a company around genuine, people-first service.
Reaching the Inc. 5000 List Started with a Side Hustle and a Vision
Tier 3 Technology began with Jeff Robinson in 2007.
A few years out of college and working his first full-time IT job, Jeff started helping friends and family with their technology needs on the side. It was about this time that he started to notice how dissatisfied people were with their existing IT providers.
Slow response times. Rigid, unrealistic rules. Upselling on equipment they didn’t need.
Too often, people were getting temporary fixes instead of real solutions.
Then the 2008 market crash happened, and Jeff watched as people he went to school with began losing their jobs through no fault of their own. It made him realize he wanted a future he could shape for himself and one where he could provide the kind of service he believed people deserved.
Making the Inc. 5000 Meant Doing IT Differently

Making the Inc. 5000 gives us something tangible to point to, but the recognition represents something more than growth.
It validates something we’ve believed from the start:
An IT and cybersecurity company can succeed by putting relationships and service first.
We didn’t have to abandon the way we wanted to do business to get here. If anything, our growth has reinforced it.
And while Tier 3 Technology may be the official name on the Inc. 5000 list, the recognition belongs to more than just the company.
It belongs to everyone who has been a part of this journey.
It takes a lot of people believing in what you’re building to make this possible, and we’re so grateful to our team members who show up every day and the clients who trusted us enough to grow alongside them.
The Inc. 5000 Is a Milestone, Not the Finish Line
We’ll continue investing in our people, improving our IT and cybersecurity services, and finding better ways to support our clients as their needs evolve.
Growth is giving us the opportunity to do more.
But doing more doesn’t mean changing the things that got us here.
What Won’t Change
We won’t let growth come at the expense of the way we believe IT and cybersecurity should be done.
No matter how much Tier 3 Technology grows, we’ll remain committed to providing the same white-glove, concierge-level experience we set out to build from the beginning.
Final Thoughts on Our Inc. 5000 Recognition and Another ‘Thank You’ to the People That Got Us Here
The Inc. 5000 recognized our growth, and we’re incredibly proud of it.
But more than the growth and the recognition, we’re proud of how it happened.
Service built relationships. Relationships built trust. And that trust gave us the opportunity to get this far.
